Most users of the IBIS operate it with just one caregiver, however this is dependant on the participant and their specific needs.
The participant is positioned with the sling between them and the wheelchair. The sling can stay in place once the participant is seated in the car until they reach their destination, at which point they can attach the sling buckles to their chest pieces and be prepared to exit the vehicle. The sling can be removed during transport as desired by the participant.
