We’re thrilled to share that Para Mobility has been named a finalist in the Medical Device Manufacturing category of the Australian Manufacturing Awards.
Sponsored by William Buck, Medical Device Manufacturing is one of the Awards’ most competitive categories, recognising Australian businesses manufacturing products that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
For our team, being named among just six finalists is an achievement worth celebrating.
Proudly designed and made in Australia
For more than 40 years, Para Mobility has been designing and manufacturing mobility and accessibility equipment here in Australia, with one simple purpose behind what we do, helping more people participate, move and experience greater independence.
Every Pelican Pool & Spa Hoist, Kingfisher Pool Access Seat, Platypus Pool Steps, Aquatic Wheelchair and IBIS Wheelchair-to-Car Access system that leaves our facility represents far more than a manufactured product.
It represents someone getting back into the pool. A family being able to travel more easily. A facility becoming more inclusive. A support worker being able to assist someone more safely. Or simply a person being given greater choice over how they participate in everyday life.
Behind each of those products is also a team of people who design, manufacture, assemble, test, pack, support and continually improve what we make.
This nomination belongs to each and every one of them.
Among great Australian company
Para Mobility joins five other finalists in the Medical Device Manufacturing category:
- IMRA Surgical
- Care Essentials Pty Ltd
- Pure Solutions Australia
- SDIP Innovations Pty Ltd
- Ego Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd
Being recognised alongside other Aussie manufacturers doing important work in the medical and healthcare sector makes the achievement even more meaningful to us.
The winner will be announced on 8 October, and naturally, we’ll have our fingers crossed!
But regardless of the final result, being selected as a finalist is already something we’re so very proud of.
It’s recognition of Australian manufacturing, of more than four decades of experience and innovation, and most importantly, of a team that continues to care deeply about the people at the other end of everything we make.
