Para Mobility was proud to exhibit at the Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) National Conference 2025, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 25–27 June. This event brings together the best and brightest in occupational therapy—people who are not just changing lives every day but reimagining how independence and inclusion are delivered.
As a proudly Australian manufacturer of assistive technology, Para Mobility is excited to once again connect directly with occupational therapists from across the country. These are the people at the frontline of access, helping clients find the solutions that empower them to live with dignity, mobility, and freedom.
Crowd Favourite: The IBIS Car to Wheelchair
Among the many conversations sparked on the exhibition floor, it’s been clear that the IBIS Car to Wheelchair continues to be one of our most talked-about and admired products.
For OTs working with clients who want to maintain independence in travel, the IBIS solves one of the most common challenges: transferring safely from a car seat to a wheelchair without lifting. Whether used by a support worker, family member, or the individual themselves (depending on their ability), the IBIS is about reducing risk, preserving dignity, and making everyday mobility possible.
It’s lightweight, easy to operate, and designed to fold compactly—ideal for transport in a vehicle. For regional OTs supporting clients across great distances, or those working with ageing Australians who may no longer be able to lift their wheelchair out of the boot, the IBIS offers a truly life-enhancing solution.
A Shared Passion
One of the things we love most about the OTA National Conference is the shared passion for person-centred solutions. OTs don’t just recommend products—they advocate, adapt, and guide their clients toward tools that can truly change their daily lives.
This year’s conversations have been especially inspiring. From early intervention therapists working in paediatrics to aged care specialists navigating complex mobility needs, we’ve had the opportunity to listen, learn, and share how our equipment supports your goals—and your clients’.
We’ve also been encouraged to see so many OTs already familiar with Para Mobility’s broader range of pool hoists, change tables and ceiling hoists. There’s a growing confidence in recommending Australian-made assistive tech that is built to meet NDIS, community, and health sector standards.
Thank You, OTA Community
A heartfelt thank you to all the OTs who stopped by our stand, shared stories, asked questions, and took the time to engage with our team. We feel grateful to be part of this ecosystem of support, innovation, and advocacy.
The future of accessibility is brighter because of the work you do—and we’re proud to play a small part in it.
