In a significant stride towards inclusivity, the Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre has recently unveiled their latest addition – the Pelican Pool Hoist. Made possible through the funding support of the local council, this initiative symbolises a commitment to making fitness and aquatic activities accessible to all members of the community, regardless of physical abilities.
Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre has long been a cornerstone of health and wellness within the community. The Para Mobility Pelican Pool Hoist, now installed at the aquatic center, includes a sling and another Aquatic Wheelchair, making the 50m pool an inclusive and welcoming environment. This state-of-the-art hoist is designed to assist individuals with mobility challenges in safely entering and exiting the pool, allowing them to enjoy the numerous health benefits associated with aquatic activities.
This milestone achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generous funding support from Ku-ring-gai council. The council’s commitment to enhancing community facilities aligns seamlessly with the values of Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre. The Pelican Pool Hoist is a prime example of how community-driven initiatives can make a tangible difference in the lives of residents.
As Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre continues to evolve as a community hub, the introduction of the Pelican Pool Hoist serves as a catalyst for further endeavours in the realm of accessibility and inclusivity.
If you’re in the local area, pop down and say hello to the friendly team.
